Our maize alfalfa is a mix of shredded maize and sun-dried alfalfa.  The alfalfa present is high in fibre and thus stimulates digestion.  By mixing the alfalfa with maize, maximum fibre structure is achieved.

The high-quality chopped maize provides a sufficient supply of protein and starch.  The added alfalfa makes the horses eat slower, resulting in more salivation which improves digestion. It also contains plenty of calcium and protein.

The combination of the starch in the corn and alfalfa gives the ideal gastrointestinal stimulation which ensures good digestion.
